I know they’re there and they know it too
The thoughts in my fore brain are sheepishly lingering
They know one day the monsters will come
One by one they prepare for a battle no one knows who will win

This was when I was around 13 to 15 years old. I've always had a passion for writing, but never the confidence to share it openly with my name and face.
